Recorded at The Blanket Fort by me. The bass is a 2005 Jerzy Drozd Obsession Excellency Custom IV with Kalium Strings going through a Glockenklang Soul Top and Space Deluxe 12" cab. The bass signals are direct out from the head, a SM57 close on the cab, and a stick on piezo next to the "G" side of the bridge.
The tuning is F(D), A(G), D(C), G(F). The () indicate the tuning for the detuner in open position. The piece starts off tuned DACF
lyrics
It's better to let it out than to hold it in
Or some rubbish that we like to say
It's easier live without than to live within
Or something we babble to keep darkness away
But it's not fair
What you did
I don't want to run
I really don't care to crawl
To greet the silent ending
It comes, it comes
It comes to greet us all
So don't look at these faded photographs
Because they whisper stories of times long past
And speak of people who have met their end
And it's not fair
Can you tell when it is?
I don't want to run
And I really can't bare to crawl
To greet the silent ending
It comes, it comes
It comes, it comes
It comes to greet us all
To be alive
To be alive
Oh, I wish you'd chosen to
To be alive
